Among hundreds of various employees types, working mothers deserve being called real heroes at least, as they are able to combine a career with such an important mission as a future generation’s raise. I always wondered how women were able to succeed at both motherhood and work, and still remain so tender and beautiful. One conversation with my colleague, Mary, helped me distinguish every working mother’s secrets that help her be in time with everything.
Certainly, every woman has her own tricks here, but I think that the secrets I am going to reveal here will perfectly work for every mother who wants to combine work and motherhood, and become a successful business lady as well as loving and caring mother.
1. Organization
Every working mother perfectly knows how important it is to organize every minute of her time. She will not waste time searching for lost keys or her child’s shoes. She knows where everything is, what her family will have for a dinner this whole week, what time she should be at home to check her son’s homework, etc. If you organize every minute of your day and follow this schedule, we will be able to be in time everything and combine your job and personal life without any harm.
2. Mornings for extra time
Mornings can be the most productive time for most working mothers: when your kids asleep, you can find some time to spend without any interruptions. You can spend it in the gym, check e-mails, load a laundry, etc. So, the second secret of all working mothers can be the fact they all have to become morning persons to find some extra time for themselves.
3. Focus on quality
It is obvious, that most working mothers worry that they will not be able to dedicate enough time to their kids. But you would better focus on quality, not quantity here. Just structure your day and all deeds so that when you spend time with your child, he will have your undivided attention. Believe me, your kid will not feel a lack of your attention then.
4. Ask for help
Even if you consider yourself a superwoman, it is quite difficult to do everything by your own. Don’t be shy or afraid of asking for help, rely on your husband when at home, or empower your kid with some responsibilities as well. For example, your daughter or son can help you deal with some minor housework. Your friends are also able to support you when needed, and you will do the same for them in your turn.
5. Do not forget about yourself
I bet you have some hobby or interests that bring you pleasure and relax. Do not ignore them, and do not forget about them. Even if you are a working mother, you are still able to find some time to spend alone with your hobby (reading a book for example). Just take care of yourself, and take time for yourself! It will give you an opportunity to relax and “recharge” yourself.
